SWMBO, through her procrastination, created a minor crisis. Her Virtual PC crashed and committed suicide at the same time. She is not a happy camper, I'm not either. Not because she woke me up to tell me this, I can always go back to sleep. No I'm ticked because Microsoft's own ability to recover from this kind of lunacy is incomprehensible. Recovery console? No good! Trying to expand an archive to get that one file that the boot complains about? Still won't work. I spent from 0600 to 0830 working on it and had to break the bad news to her that it was probably hosed. Now I'm thinking that I'll shell out the extra $$ for her to have Office.X on her machine to solve these problems.
